Not Enough Time

Over the last couple of weeks I have had to work a little extra so haven’t had a lot of time spent with Kaden. As we are now off for a week and it was a nice day I thought that Kaden and I could spend some time together feeding the ducks. After lunch we got in the car and went to our usual spot (Mussleburgh) We went into Tesco and got some bread then walked along the river and sat by the edge and started to throw some bread in to the water. At first we started to feed the geese but they then swam away so we went to see what else we could find. We found another spot and fed some swans and their fluffy grey cygnets! (inbetween Kaden eating some too!) after that we walked a little further and fed some ducks. This time the seaguls were quite calm and not too bothersome so all the birds got a good feed! After  that we went to the shops and then to pick daddy up from work.

What to do!

This morning was quite nice so we decided that we would head to the zoo to renew our memberships, however when we got onto the bypass and near that end of town the rain came pouring down so as we still had memberships for Deep Sea World instead and put off he zoo for a nice day! When we got to Deep Sea World Kaden was asleep so we waited in the car for him to waken up so that he wasn’t grumpy! When Kaden woke up we went into see all the different fish. Kaden was quite excited and headed for the aquarium with the star fish in first. We then went to see the seals swimming around and then thought that Kaden would like some lunch (which we took with us!) After lunch we looked at the different frogs and reptiles, then the clown fish, tropical fish and then the sharks in the tunnel. Kaden liked to stand on the conveyor belt and was interested in the big sharks. After that it was time to head home as we had seen all the fish. As we were headin home in the car we notice that the rain had stopped and it was a great day so as it was only 1.40pm we decided to go to the Zoo too. Unfortunately though my camera ran out of battery so I only got photos at Deep Sea world but Kaden did enjoy himself at the zoo too! 

Gala Day

We were in Galashiels on Saturday to see the horse parade through the town. There was hundred’s of horses! We thought this might be a good experience for Kaden as he has never been close o horses before. Kaden was a bit unsure at first but soon enjoyed seeing the horses pass by! Kaden started to make a clicking noise and bouncing as if he was on the horse! When we got back to the car the horses were on the other side of the road neighing, Kaden really liked seeing the horses and tried to copy the horses neighing!

The Big Slide

It was lovely this afternoon so once Kaden had his sleep and lunch I took him to the park. Kaden had lots of fun in the swing for quite a while but soon wanted out. Kaden then spied the slide so once he was out the swing he was off and up the steps in no time. Kaden spent ages playing on the slide, he managed the steps by himself and even managed to come down the side too! Kaden came down quite fast and ended up right off the end a few times but he seemed to quite enjoy this and kept on going! Kadenalso played with the bark and had a little turn on the bouncers before we headed home!

Jo Jingles

Kaden has been taking part in a thing called Jo Jingles at Nursery every Thursday for the last term. I haven’t seen much of Kaden taking part in Jo jingles as I’ve been in another part of the nursery, however I have been able to take a sneaky peek now and again to see how he has been getting on. Today Kaden and I were both off but I took Kaden along for his last session which I got to sit in and take part. I couldn’t get over how much Kaden and the other children really enjoyed Jo Jingles and how well the took part. Most of the children were joining in the actions to the songs and loved playing the instruments too! My favourite song to see them all do was ”Wind your Bobbin Up”. Later on in the house I was singing some of the songs with Kaden and he repeated the words ”pull,pull clap,clap” ! It was socute so when Daddy came ome from work Kaden and I sang the song for Daddy.

A Bit for Me and a Bit for You

We had a lovely day out with Shona today! We went to get Kaden new shoes and a wander around the shops. It was so hot today and we passed an ice cream van so I decided to get ice cream for us all as a little treat. Kaden and I both had a tub of ice cream and Shona had a 99. Kadendone really well with the ice cream feeding himself and not making too much mess! We then had a look round Mothercare and headed back to the car. After the shops we went to feed the ducks at Mussleburgh. Shona put Kaden into the Bob he Builder childs ride but once it started to move Kaden didn’t like it and tried to get out. Shona then tried to put Kaden back in after watching it for a little while but Kaden wasn’t too happy with the Idea! We got bread from Tesco then headed to feed the ducks. When we got there there was only really seagulls so we fed them. Kaden liked the bread too giving a bit to the birds and a bit for himself, he must have ate at least two slices of bread! Kaden is getting better at his throwing as he can now manage to get some bits into the water!

Working on Fathers Day

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY DADDY LOTS OF LOVE KADEN xxxxxxxxxxxxx Kaden, Mummy and Daddy would also like to say Happy Father’s Day to Grandad and Grumpy Grandad.

Kaden has been a busy boy making a few things for his Daddy and both his Grandad’s for Fathers day. Kaden made a hand print and footprint in clay and we painted them ready to give to Daddy and both Grandad’s! Kaden also helped me bake little cakes for every one too. Kaden was also busy at nursery making a card and a foot mould for Daddy.

A Phone that Works!

I go t a new phone about two weeks ago and for some reason the battery wouldn’t keep it’s charge so in the end I took it back to the shop and went and got a different one. This phone has a good camera on it too so when we took Kaden Swimming today I tried the camera out and got a photo of Kaden in his swimming costume! Kaden had a really good time at the pool, we went to Leith Water World. There was a little water slide which Kaden loved he held onto our hands going down and kept going on it over and over again. When Kaden fell over in the water a few times he didn’t seem to be too bothered about going right under the water! We all had a good time at the pool today.

Lots of Splashing

Today i decided to take Kaden swimming since we haven’t been for ages and the weather looks undecided! We got to the pool for about 1o.45am and got ready to go in the pool. Kaden was a little unsure at first but the longer we were there the more confident Kaden was. There were two girls in the pool to and they were going down the slide, Kaden thought this was great fun and kept trying to get on too but I think he is a little too wee for water slides just yet! Kaden also liked to splash and found it funny when I kept getting water in my face. When I was moving Kaden through the water he kept kicking his legs and moving his arms like he was swimming. We were in the pool for about 45 minutes splashing away.

A Very Happy Mummy!

Yesterday morning Daddy got Kaden to bring me through a little bag and a card as daddy sang Happy Birthday, inside was a birthday present from Kaden. It was so cute seeing Kaden bring through the little bag and i couldn’t wait to see what was inside it! For my birthday Kaden got me a lovely mum photo frame with a little poem inside and a really cute card! Daddy also got me a teddy and took us out for lunch today. We went to Great A. mary and Great u. john and met Granny and Grandad there. Kaden had lots of fun wandering in and out the house to the garden and splashing the water on the table with Great U. John. I have been a very lucky mummy and got spoilt for my birthday I also got clothes, chocolates and ornaments. Today I also got a new phone which has a really good camera on it! Kaden wouldn’t look at me when i was taking his photo so just have to use the ones where he is rolling on the floor. A big thank you to everyone for my birthday cards and presents.
