A Sunny Day

As it was sunny and dry yesterday we decided to go to the Zoo. We had a look at the lemurs, monkeys, Koala’s, Lorikeets, and other animals. Kaden was really interested in what he was seeing that he didn’t really want to be in the buggy! We took a walk up the hill to see the big cats and Kaden managed to walk it all!

Spooky Biscuits and cakes!

We are going to a little halloween party on saturday to Granny and Grandad’s so Kaden and I have been a little busy baking spooky biscuits, cakes and spiders! (Daddy has helped a little too!) I think Kaden has really liked helping as he’s been eating the ingredients and getting very messy!

Halloween fun

Halloween is one of my favourit times of the year making scary things and dressing up! I recently bought Kaden a Halloween CD and had the music playing the other day as we were carving a pumpkin. Kaden wasn’t too keen on the carving bit this year but he did try and draw the tscary face which I cut out!

 

Autumn Time

Autumn is a great time of year when all t he leaves start to change colour and fall off the trees! I had Kaden at the Library on Wednesday for the bookstart rhyme time and let him walk home. He was picking up the leaves and trying to throw them at me! We then started to kick t he leaves up and walk through them, Then Kaden turned round and smiled and made a dash along the road as he knew I let go of the reigns to let him play in the leaves! It took us a while to get home but it was fun!

Who needs Toys

This afternoon I was trying to think of something different for Kaden to do instead of painting or baking etc. I put my thinking cap on and came up with a noisy activity! I got some pots, wooden spoons, metal spoon and grater from the kitchen and some blankets from the attic and let Kaden play with them! We played peek a boo with the blankets and dressed up a little. We put on the halloween music and then started to use the thinks from the kitchen as musical instruments. I think this tired Kaden out as he was getting grumpy and fell asleep quite quickly afterwards!

BookStart Rhymetime

As you may know Kaden is a member of the local library. For a long time there has been a group meeting on a Wednesday morning for children and parents/carers to go along to, which encourage prents/carers to read to their children and sing rhymes. I took Kaden along today as I noe dn’t work on  a Wednesday and thought it would be a good way to meet new people. Kaden enjoyed the Rhymes and took part in the actions to the songs. The librarian had a few boxes of props cuddly toys, musical instruments materials to go with some of the songs and games. Both Kaden and I had fun and will definately go back.

New Sponges

We were at Granny and Grumpy Grandad’s at the weekend and Granny had a little surprise for Kaden. It was some painting sponges. Kaden loves to paint so it was a nice surprise for Kaden. Kaden and I done some painting on Monday and used his new painting sponges!

Deep SeaWorld

One day last week I took Kaden to deep sea world to have a look at all the different fish. This time Kaden took a little longer to look at the fish so we did manage to stay a little longer than we have in the past.
