New Toys

Kaden was very lucky at Christmas time, he got lots of new toys and loves playing with them all! He really likes his new wooden train set as I think this is because it is bigger than the one he already had and he likes to line all the trains up together. The wooden train track is great because we have managed to join his old one and new one together and make it bigger! Kaden likes to try help me build it so everytime we get it out we always end up with a different track layout! Thankyou Aunty M and Uncle J for Kaden’s new trainset!

Christmas 2009

We would all like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas 2009.

Its Kaden’s 2nd Christmas and this Year his face lit up when we came into the livingroom and he seen all the presents under the tree! He got stuck right into opening his first present and then stopped to play with it for a while. We knew then it was going to be a long day! Every present that Kaden opened he wanted to play with befor opening another. We had to take the smaller ones off him so that he would open a few before playing. It took Kaden about an hour and a half to open most of his presents, we stopped for a little break and something to eat before we took Zack for a walk to the park and had a little snowball fight! We then came back and managed to get Kaden to open te rest of his presents. Kaden has spent the rest of the day playing with all his new toys from Santa. I have already had to clear space for his new toys as Santa was Very good to Kaden and we have it all to do again tomorrow at Granny and Grandads.

Christmas Snowman

This morning we woke up to really thick snow which was great. I showed Kaden the snow and he got quite excited so I said we would have breakfast and go out and make a Snowman. After breakfast we got ready we went out an built a snowman. Kaden done quite well in the snow was really unsure at first as the snow went to the top of his wellies but he soon came round when we started to clear a path when making t he snowman’s body. After we got the snowmans head and body together we gave him buttons on his body, and for his eys and nose. For his mouth we used som berries off the bushes and sticks for his arms. I then went and got a hat and some left over christmas decorations and let Kaden decorate the snowman to make him Christmasy.

Let it Snow

We woke up to some snow today on the car which was a little dissapointing as here was none on the ground so we couldnt go out to play. A little while later though we looked out the windo and the snow flakes were huge and there was a thin layer of snow on the ground! Kaden kept wantng to see out the window so we got up and went downstairs so Kaden could see the snow out the windows. After the snow stopped for a little while I took Kaden out to play. He was throwing snowballs at Daddy and playing on the trampoline and slide. Kaden I think likes the snow much better than last year!

Christmas Cakes

After a lovely long lie on Saturday (10am when Kaden woke up) I went to get some cookie cutters and cake moulds so that we could do some baking. I got some christmas music playing on the Internet and all of us started to make cakes and cookies! We all had good fun making a mess!

Santa

We took a visit to see Santa today.Kaden was quite happy to stand and hold my hand but as I tried to get him closer Kaden started to back away! Santa handed a selection box to Kaden and he quickly took it and backed away! We got a photo taken which we need to pick up on monday! At tea time tonight Kaden had his Christmas plate and kept saying Santa santa. Then decided to put the Santa hat on after his bath.

Yule Log

A few weeks ago Grandad collected a Yule Log with Oliver. They got one for Oliver and one for Kaden. Yesterday Oliver and Kaden decorated them with tinsle, greenery from the garden, icing sugar and a robin each. The Yule logs will sit at the front of Granny and Grandads fire until boxing day then the decorations will come off and they will go into the fire.

We finally finished our tree yesterday with Kaden’s help to put on the Angel!

A Year Later!

I decided to have a look at some photo’s of Kaden putting up the tree last Christmas and can’t get over how much Kaden has grown and changed, so I thought I’d put a little reminder for all to see!

Oh Christmas Tree

We were going to put the decorations up tomorrow but Daddy went up to get the decorations down from the attic tonight so that we could set the tree up when Kaden was in bed ready for decorating but Kaden was still up when t he tree was brought dow and got rather excited and started to hand the tree bits to daddy! Kaden seemed in a good mood still so we decided to decorate the tree. Kaden helped to put some baubles on and liked the  Santa bell that we have. He also liked putting up the silver eads and wasn’t amused when I tried to help him. We all had lots of fun putting up the tree took us a while. Kaden started to get a little tired so he went to bed and we have left the Angel off the top for him to put on tomorrow!
