We were at Granny and Grandad’s the other day and decided to give Zack a little trim and tidy up as his fur was getting rather long. Kaden thought he would give me a little hand. Kaden used the little thing that goes on the end of the clippers and pretended to cut Zack’s hair. Zack looks a lot tidier now!

It was time to clean Cheeko Chops cage out and because she was awake through the day I let Kaden help. I emptied the old sawdust into the bucket and got Kaden to help me fill up the cage with the new sawdust. After that Kaden helped to fill her food bowl up. We then changed her water and cleaned the tubes. After Cheeko chop’s cage was cleaned she was let out her ball to play, she was exploring Kaden’s garage going round the slope then she decided to take a little wander under the chair and round the box! It took me a while to get her back but I managed. After that I thought it was time for Kaden to say goodbye to cheeko chops and put her back in her clean cage!

Every time Kaden sees Rimmer he gets so excited, he now has started to meaow quietly whenever he sees Rimmer or other cats. Rimmer puts up with lots of rough play from Kaden which is a good thing! I took these photo’s the other day of Kaden and Rimmer giving each other cuddles.
Kaden has been on the go since 7.30am this morning full of beans! He only had about an hours sleep this morning around 11.00. We had a very busy day though which has tired Kaden out. Kaden played with Cheeko chops for a little while just before we got ready and went to Granny and Grandad’s. Kaden’s cousin Oliver was there so he played with Kaden. Soon after we got to Granny and Grandad’s Kaden, Oliver, Daddy and I all went to the park and took Zack too. Kaden walked all the way to the river Tweed from the house which was really far but once we got there Oliver threw some sticks into the Tweed and Kaden chased Zack! After that we went to the park and played on the swings, slide and climbing frame. We took a bucket and spade which Kaden filled up with bark. Granny also packed some juice and biscuits which we had just before it was time to tackle the long walk back. By the time we got back to Granny and Grandad’s we had been away for 2 hours. In the house Kaden and Oliver had lots of fun chasing each other round the living room!

Today was a really nice day so I bought Kaden some play sand and set uphis little sand table out the back along with his tunnel. In the sand we had Kaden’s aeroplane and a little palm tree. I got Kaden to look up at the blue sky, with the combination of the sand and the blue sky Kaden and I were pretending to be on holiday in the Carribian! Also on our little trip was the cat, I think he likes to be involved!

The other day Kaden was on the couch when Rimmer jumped up to see us. Kaden got really excited and started to play with Rimmer. Its so nice to see how much Kaden Loves Rimmer.

At the weekend we got a new ball for Cheeko Chops to play in. Cheeko Chops came out quite early tonight so we put her in the ball to play while Kaden was still up. Kaden tried to roll her along the floor at first but we manged to get him to stop. After a while we took her out the ball and let her run on the couch and let Kaden have a little hold. Kaden wasnt really in the mood but he did try and give her a little cuddle while daddy was holding her. Kaden alsotried to put Cheeko Chos ball on his head but luckily she was running around us!

This morning Cheeko Chops has been very active so we thought that Kaden would like to play with for a little while. Daddy took Cheeko Chops out her cage while Kaden sat beside Mummy. Daddy brought Cheeko Chops over to Kaden so tht he could stroke her. Kaden was a little rough but Cheeko Chops didn’t seem to mind too much. Every time Kaden touched Cheeko Chops he let out a little giggle. When Cheeko was in her cage Kaden tried to pick her up. Its good to see he’s quite cnfident wih her!

As Cheeko Chops has been with us since Sunday I thought that I should try and handle her. I started off yesterday by just holding my hand in one part of her cage so that she could get used to my smell. I also gave her a little treat which she tried to take from my hand.
Today I put my hand back in her cage to let her know I was there and took one of the ends off of the tubes and let her walk onto my hand. Cheeko Chops decided to jump off of my hand and she was running around the living room. I did however manage to get her into a little corner and pick her up with one of Kaden’s vests (this was to stop her from biting me as I think she was scared!)
I put Cheeko chops back into her cage, then opened it all up so that she was left in the bottom part of it. I then put my hand in for her to smell me again. This time I managed to get her moving over my hands several times but she kept trying to jump back into her cage. I let her go and then tidied up her home and changed her water and food! She did at one point try and nibble my thumb but I think it’s because I kept my hand still too long!

Since Kaden and I went to see Ollie and Nibbles its been in my head that Kaden would like and benefit from a new pet! Over the last week Daddy and I have been on the Internet looking at how to look after a hamster and to buy a Rotastak Hamster Cage which arrived at Grannyand Grandad’s yesterday! We all went to pick up the cage and got into building it up when we were there. It took us ages and with help from Aunty R we finally managed to get the cage built. We neede help on a name for the hamster and asked Ollie what he though its name should be. Ollie thought that Chops was a good name for the hamster so here we have it! We managed to transport the cage home in the car and I put sawdust and bedding in it last night ready for the new addition. Today after we picked Kaden up from Granny and Grumpy Grandad’s we went to Pets at Home and picked one out. For some reason even although Ollie picked Chops I have called the hamter Cheeko. I have absolutly no Idea where this name came from but I think it goes quite well with the name Ollie chose so have decided to call our new hamster Cheeko Chops!
Once we managed to get Cheeko Chops home safely I put her in her cage and opened the box to let her come out in her own time. I never even managed to open the box fully when she was out exploring her new home. Cheeko chops has been very active climbing in and out the tunnels, playing in her wheel and storing food that I don’t think it will take too long for her to settle in! Cheeko Chops has had a little sleep but is now running around her cage quite happily!
