A Zoo Day

As it was a nice day on Sunday we decided to take Kaden to the Zoo as its been ages since we were last there! We wrapped up warm and took off in the car. We first seen the ring tailed Lemurs, then went into the budongo trail and onto feed the Lorikeets. Kaden was so excited and liked feeding them too! We then went went to see the Koala bears and headed up to see the big cats before heading down to see the penguins and monke’s in th emonkey house. We never stayed that long as Kaden was a bit tired after his first full week at nursery.

A Sunny Day

As it was sunny and dry yesterday we decided to go to the Zoo. We had a look at the lemurs, monkeys, Koala’s, Lorikeets, and other animals. Kaden was really interested in what he was seeing that he didn’t really want to be in the buggy! We took a walk up the hill to see the big cats and Kaden managed to walk it all!

We decided to pack a picnic and head to the Zoo for a couple of  hours as it was a lovely day today. We went in the members gate and headed towards the penguins looking at all the diffrent animals on that side for a change as we always seemed to head towards the Badongo Trail or the lions. We seen lots of different types of monkeys. After seeing the monkeys we went to see the penguins then  had something to eat and Kaden had a play at the park.

A Day with Granny

Granny was on holiday this week from work and we still had a day off so we asked Granny if she would like to come to the Zoo with us. We packed a picnic and picked Granny up at 10.00am and headed to the zoo. We got there for 10.30am and headed in. We were going to get the bus up to the hill top but it was a bit busy so we walked instead. We did take the buggy incase Kaden got tired but he walked most of the way with us. I think it was just because he couldn’tsee much in he buggy. We had a look at the sealion’s and flamingos and headed up towards the budongo trail looking at the animals on the way up. We then went to see the pygmy hippo and baby n our way to the penguins. after the penguins we went for lunch but stopped to see the rhino’s first. Kaden ate loads for lunch but after the amount of walking he done he must have needed it! Once we had lunch we went to see the lorikeets and fed them some nectar. Granny bought Kaden a litlle lorikeet teddy which was stuck to his hand the rest of the trip. We then went t see the polar bear and headed up towards the lions andtigers but at this point Kaden had fallen asleep. We then went back down to the cafe for a drink. At this point Kaden had woken up. It was raining from lunch time onwards but we stayed at the zoo for a while. Our last stop before the shp was the monkey house which was quite entertaining for us to watch. Kaden had a little monkey follow him and his little lorikeet teddy. Granny was very good to Kaden he also got a few things from Granny which was very good of her. I think a good day was had by every one even although it rained.

  

The Zoo

On Tuesday we  went to the Zoo, the weather wasn’t great but it stayed dry! We took the shuttle bus to the very top of the Zoo and decided to walk down and let Kaden see all the animals at the top and the lions and tigers as he is now making the animal noises! After we seen the lions we went to see mercades the polar bear and the the monkies. After this we went home as Kaden was starting to get tired and grumpy!

The Zoo

Even although it is cold outside, the sun was shining and itwas dry outside so we decided that once we picked Adam up that we would go to the  Zoo. We wrapped Kaden up in his snow suit and put on 2 pairs of gloves to keep him warm!

We arrived at the Zoo around 2pm and went to the bodongo trail first. Normally there is a film of their work showing but that wasn’t on. There was a big presentation on nature which was quite interesting to read! After that we went to feed the Lorikeets which Kaden seemed to enjoy seeing them fly about the place! We then went to the living links which is the firs time I have been in there. This is an enclosure for two different types of little monkies! There is two sectons Identical to each other so that the Keepers can research and work with them to find out about their behaviour patterns and help to train them to make it easier to give the monkies medicines if required! Then we went to see the Koala’s. We left the zoo after that as it was starting to get really cold.

A Trip with Daddy

On Sunday Kaden let us have a long lie as he slept til 9.30 am. When we got up the weater looked really nice so the 3 of us decided to go to the zoo. We had a lovely time looking at the chimps, lorikeets and Zeebras. We also seen the taper who had a baby not so long ago and the penguins, monkeys and the different birds. We stayed at the Zoo until Kaden was almost sleeping then went to the Gyle Shopping centre to have a little look and some lunch.

The Zoo

It was windy but dry this morning when Kaden and i got up so i decided to take advantage of the weather and took Kaden to the Zoo. (I have a membership with the zoo so can go at any time and get free parking). I gave Kaden his breakfast and packed us a little picnic for lunch and we headed off to the zoo.

When we got to the Zoo i was going to take Kaden on the Hill top Safari Bus but it was full when we got there ansd would have had to wait for 30 minutes on the next one so i decided to walk round the zoo instead. First we saw the lemur having breakfast, well eating the leaves and grass in it’s habitat. The Lemur jumped up a bamboo right infront of Kaden which caught his attention and he watched it for a while. we then looked at the crane bird but Kaden was more interested in the ducks at the next enclosure so we went there. After that we headed to the Budongo trail and watched the chimps,but they were mostly sleeping. Next we went into the rainbow landings where i bought a pot of necter and fed the birds, they were very noisy today and very active we had some fly right over our head! I had 3 on my arm as i held out the pot to them! We then went to see the big cats Kaden got really excited when he seen the black Jaguar! After that we seen the Lion and then went to look at the penguins. After the Penguins we had our lunch and left the Zoo as Kaden was starting to fall asleep!
