In the Sky

Its been windy today so after work me and Daddy took Kaden to the park to fly a kite. Kaden had the kite in his hand when we got to the park. When we got to the grass away from the trees we managed to get the kite flying in the sky. As the kite started to lift off the ground Kaden started to cry I think he thought that he was loosing the kite! Kaden got too upset to stay out with the kite for too long so we had to come home, think I might need to get some pictures of kites to teach Kaden what they do.

In the Boot

Granny and Grandad have been moving house and we were at the old house Grandad had the back seats down so that the car could be loaded with the last of their belongings. Kaden and Oliver had fun playing in the boot before the car got loaded up!

Butterfly World

I decided to take Kaden to see the butterflies and insects before nursery on friday as we haven’t been out together for a while. We got up and ready and were there for opening times at 9.30am. We went in and paid the lady and got our hand stamped. Kaden and I went inside and saw lots of colourful butterflies flying about. some were eating at the fruit in the little dishes. we walked over the bridge and into the insect area where we seen lots of snakes, little bugs, spiders and ants. We then went outside to have a look at the bees and wasps behind the doors. we saw a honeycomb but no bees and saw some wasps. After we seen the wasps and bees we went back inside to see the scorpians, then the fish. Kaden really liked the wishing waterfall so I gave him some pennies to throw in.

Little Chef

As todays weather isn’t that great I thought that Kaden and I could do some cooking together. We made soup, pizza and a sponge cake! I prepared all the veg for the soup before I let Kaden help so that he wasn’t too restless. I cut up all the veg and Kaden put it into the pot for me. Kaden tried to taste thr carrotts but I think the were a little too hard for him to eat! After all the veg and the stock cube was in the pot I took Kaden off the chair and added in the water and put the soup on to cook on the back hob. We then went on to make the pizza which I think most of the Ingredients ended up in Kaden’s tummy! Kaden helped measure out the ingredients and mix them together, he then helped roll out the pizza base put on the bbq sauce base abd then the cheese. I hen put the pizza in the oven. After we finished the pizza Kaden took te bowl off the table and emptied some flour into it so I decided to make a cake. Kaden was a big help mixing the ingredients together and greasing the tin. We also had lots of fun licking the bowl clean!

New Home

Kaden would like to wish Granny and Grandad lots of happiness in their new home! XXXXX

Not too Well

Kaden has now had his 3 hour trials at nursery and seems to be settling in really well. When I dropped him off I gave him a kiss and said goodbye and Kaden went in to the room with a member of staff. When I came back to collect Kaden he just looked at me as if he didn’t want to leave. Today he was starting to mix and play with the other children so I think he will be fine. After Kaden’s hour today we went to help Granny and Grandad with their house move. We packed a few boxes and took them to the new house. On the way to the new house Kaden was a little sick in the car but it wasn’t too much and we wern’t that far away so I didn’t have to stop the car, However when we got to Granny and Grandad’s new house I went round to get Kaden out his car seat and to clean him up when he was really sick. Lets just say I managed to get out the driver seat in time!!! I unpacked the car and got everything cleaned up with help from Granny and Grandad and went home. Daddy is taking time off tomorrow and Friday to look after Kaden as I dont think Kaden should be in nursery and it is my first proper week at my new job.  So Kaden will just have to have his first day at nursery next week

A New Nursery

Kaden and I had our last day at LRN on friday as I have decided to work part time to spend more time with Kaden. Kaden will still need to goto nursery for a few hours on a thursday and friday. The nursery Kaden is going to is closer to home so daddy can pick Kaden up on his way home from work. Today Kaden had an hours trial to see how he got on. I droped Kaden off at 9.30 am and went back to pick him up at 10.30am. When I went back KAden was standing at the table playing with some toys.He looked up and came running over with a big smile for a hug. The lady looking after Kaden said he had been fine played in the house corner, with the trains and sang some songs. I think Kaden will be fine at his new nursery! We are back tomorrow for another hour.

Yummy!

After Kaden had a little nap I decided to et him help me bake some chocolate biscuits! Kaden helped measure out all the ingredients and instead of mixing them he tried to eat the mix! Kaden looked like he had fun though judging by the mess he was in!

Doors Open Days

There was an open day at Dalkeith Police Station and Fire Station today and as it was a lovely day we decided to go along and have a look so that Kaden could see all the plice vehicles and Fire engines. We first had to get Kaden’s feet measured so we went and got him his new shoe first then we got something to eat from ”Greggs” then we went to the police station to have a look. When we first went in we got handed a programme then had a look at the police horses. We also saw some dog training and lots of different types of police vehicles from cars to vans and motor bikes. We tried to get Kaden to go ino a police car but when we asked him he shook his head and said no.  (Kaden has been a little groucy over the past few days as he has 4 eye teeth pushing through!) We got a few free things from the police station for Kaden like colouring pencils, colouring book pens etc. After we were at the plice station we went along to the fire station where we bought Kaden a little fireman’s hat which he likes! He had a little seat in the fire engine and then we went into the safety cabin where the fire crew were talking about fire safety in the home. After that there was a demonstration done by the fire crew where they cut a person out of the car. At the fire station there is a programme set up for young people from 13-18 whch has been running for 3 months where they get trained to use the equipment and in first aid. They done a drill to show the public what the programme has taught them. After the demonstration was finished we headed home as Kaden was getting tired.

The Park with a Difference

It was a nice morning on Thursday and since I had a few things to do in the afternoon I thought I would take Kaden to the park. When we got to the park I saw some smoke coming from the hedges in the bowling green. When I took a closer look I could hear some crackling but couldn’t see any flames. I also had a look to see if there was anyone around incase it was someone burning off rubbish but there was nobody around so I phoned for a fire brigade. Once the fire brigade arrived I took Kaden to have a little look at what the fire men were doing. We watched them put out some of the fire ant then I took Kaden closer to see the fire engine and its flashing lights. As we got closer Kaden was making a nee naw sound. The fireman that was looking after the fire engine asked if we would like a shot in it so Kaden and I got in and had a little look. Once we had a little go we got out and by then the fire was out and the equipment was getting put away. We watched as this was happening and then said bye to the firemen and went back to play at the park.
